From the moment we met Lisa in what was then her new role as Chief Executive at Loewe, we were struck by her curiosity and clarity of vision. In the weeks that followed, we witnessed her bravery as she set out her manifesto for leading the business, the expectations she had of herself and the different choices that she felt needed to be made. Lisa did this so skillfully and like an athlete, making sure that personal, team and collective strengths were exploited while weaknesses were reduced or eliminated altogether.
Lisa’s strength, in the face of a challenging environment has been truly inspirational. The LVMH group has high standards for its leaders and Lisa was courageous enough and had the confidence to be inspired and not to be undermined by them. Lisa consistently does the right thing, even though at times it might have felt very uncomfortable. This came across really powerfully where we saw her make key decisions based not simply on results but the way in which those results were being achieved.
It was decisions like this that made Lisa stand out and which started to transform the culture of Loewe – to the benefit of the business, it’s people and the LVMH Group. It’s clear that through her choices and clarity of vision, combined with a deep subject matter expertise, Lisa has created a different culture in the business – and that’s simply a remarkable achievement in such a short space of time.
Through all of this Lisa has retained her humility and been quick to give praise to others, while continually setting high standards for herself. High performance leadership is partly evidenced by the number and quality of followers and it’s clear that Lisa has many of those. As a result Lisa has created not only a legacy for the business and the group, she has also done so for several individuals who will no doubt reflect on their time under her leadership as a pivotal time in their career. We’re proud to welcome her into the Hall of Fame.
