Since the first time we worked with Jody in 2009 she embraced the concepts of high performance and immediately began the journey both to make them personal and to see how they might work best for her team. This took great courage – Jody was new in role and it would have been easy to choose to take no risks. Instead she was bold and embraced change just like an athlete – and Jody led like a natural born coach.
She didn’t control or dictate – instead Jody led the team by encouraging, supporting and challenging with quiet authority and as a result her team chose to follow.
Though that’s not where Jody’s performance journey ended – it was really just the start. Those natural coaching qualities made her a natural choice to become a Performance Leader and though that journey wasn’t easy, she showed immense courage again to lead other teams, this time as their performance coach. Not only that, Jody made sure that she in a great position to not only perform superbly in that role, she was also able to help other Performance Leaders do a great job too.
Jody helped create a legacy at Claims in AXA that is now being more widely recognised – both inside and outside the business. While the role that senior leaders played in making that happen was important, without her leadership, it would have never translated so consistently and effectively to the front line and in the end, that’s what makes the difference. We’re proud to welcome her into the Hall of Fame.
