- People have been talking about us...
It’s been an exciting three months for us where we’ve had the privilege of working with some great businesses, spread the K2 word to Australia (again) and China (first time) and got some really exciting work lined up with customers old and new between now and the end of the year.
So we could be forgiven for being a bit giddy with it all and it just got even better. We’ve teamed up with the adventure and performance legend that is Sophie Radcliffe. If you haven’t heard of her then you soon will. Well of course by just reading that last sentence you’ve now heard of her but you know what we mean.
Sophie is an explorer and adventurer and a normal person. She just happens to be a normal person who makes extraordinary choices and as a result does extraordinary things. To give you an idea, between 31 July and 31 August 2014, Sophie became the first and only person to complete the Alpine Coast to Coast, by climbing the 7 highest peaks in 8 alpine countries and cycling between them. In 32 days she climbed over 45000 metres and cycled just under 1700 kilometres.
Then on 14 September she completed a really tough Ironman Wales coming 9th in her category and, a few days later, led a group of CEO's as they cycled from Paris to London in 24 hours. There was beer and pizza involved too.
We've known and admired Sophie for a while and together with her husband Charley, they make one fine team. We thought about Sophie's website, www.challengesophie.com and decided to create a unique challenge for her.
So over the next few months, we'll be setting Sophie a series of performance challenges to help explore her potential and inspire others to do the same. Sophie is going to share live updates of how it’s going with the world via Twitter, Facebook and a web series that will be on our You Tube channel at PlanetK2.
There'll be links from our website and we'll update you with every step so you won't miss a thing.
After all that excitement, we need a lie down and a paracetamol and maybe beer and pizza too.
