The Who – Chris Shambrook, Performance Director
The Why – Because he loves psychology and simply applying what he knows in the sporting world wasn’t enough for Chris, so he jumped at the chance to join the team in 2004 and hasn’t looked back since. He also thought he’d better put his PhD to good use and what better way than to use his knowledge to find out how much impact it can have on how individuals and teams perform.
The How – Chris has a wealth of experience in both Olympic and Corporate arenas and loves passing on this knowledge. He is focused on turning the science behind our work into simple, effective messages that help our customers drive their performance forward in practical ways. Chris is also very focused on ensuring that all of our work is delivered in a way that tells people like it is, so that there is a contrast with many other approaches which promise instant change and amazing results despite the lack of substance!
Never Stand Still – Chris is responsible for developing the content that sits behind all of our programmes, so he is constantly looking for more relevant and effective ways to communicate our messages. With a foot in the world of Olympic sport still, he is also responsible for making sure that we are fully utilising the practices and approaches that are behind contemporary Olympic success in all of our work to ensure that we really do help people think, prepare and perform like elite athletes.
