It seems the interpretation of the change in Mr Crosby in the final of the Olympic Ice Hockey tournament may have been correct (see a couple of posts down from here). Speaking after the match, this is what the match winner had to say about his goal:
“I didn’t see it go in the net, I just heard everyone screaming. I didn’t see the puck. I just shot it. I knew where I was and where the net was.”
It’s not always easy to play on instinct or be in the position to fully trust your instinct, but the results are worth it when you get the preparation right.
